The Somaly Mam Foundation hosts the 2008 Gala at the prestigious Tribeca Rooftop with special guests supermodel Petra Nemcova and Bar Raphaeli, filmmaker Abigail Disney, Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leivi, and LexisNexis CEO Andy Prozes. November 8, 2007 – Honorary Degree Reception for Somaly Mam – Regis University, Denver

Regis University presents leading Cambodian anti-human trafficking activist, Somaly Mam with an honorary degree.

November 7, 2007 – Somaly Mam Foundation Launch Event – United Nations, New York

The Somaly Mam Foundation officially launches at the United Nations with the endorsement of UNICEF, UNIFEM and IOM and corporate sponsor LexisNexis. The evening includes the movie premier of Holly, by Priority Films, and a special reception hosted by actress Daryl Hannah, Ally Sheedy, and Horatio Sanz.
