The Somaly Mam Foundation Names Operations Director

Rigmor E. Schneider has been named to the position of Operations Director for The Somaly Mam Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to ending modern day slavery around the world.

The Somaly Mam Foundation (SMF) welcomes Rigmor E. Schneider to her new position as Operations Director. Schneider, a management consultant focusing on quality and process improvement, problem solving and coaching has most recently worked with the University of Arizona, College of Medicine and Pantheon Enterprises, Inc. Ms. Schneider is actively involved with the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteers with Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services.

The Somaly Mam Foundation is a nonprofit charity committed to ending modern day slavery in North America and around the world. Cofounded by sexual slavery survivor Somaly Mam, the foundation works to eradicate human trafficking, liberate its victims, and empower survivors so they can create and sustain lives of dignity.

Schneider will pioneer the position of Operations Director and will serve as a core member of the executive leadership team. Responsibilities will include leading and managing a comprehensive array of services and programs, as well as the administrative functions of the Foundation. She will provide effective and inspiring leadership and stewardship of SMF by being actively involved in all programs and services, both in the United States and in Asia.

Chair of the Board of Directors Robert Rigby-Hall shares this sentiment and is confident that Schneider’s background will aid in managing SMF’s continued growth.

Schneider will report to Chief Executive Officer Bill Livermore, and will oversee a number of direct staff including Country Executive Director SMF Cambodia, Legal & Policy Director, Director of Anti-Trafficking Programs, and consultants as necessary.
